The annual production of a Shakespeare play in the grounds of Mount Ephraim, near Faversham, has become a fixture in the summer diaries for many people in Kent. This year, Kent Shakespeare Company will be staging 'The Tempest'.Evening performances Mon 21June Last entry 5pm

Dragonfly Walk at Shorne Woods Country Park
All events start at the car park in Pegwell Bay Country Park which is sign posted from the A256 Ramsgate-Sandwich road and is located just south of Cliffsend Village (O.S. Grid reference TR 342 635). Saturday night funfair 20:00 - late!
The name of the event is BayBusk 2010, "banding together in aid of Demelza House Children's Hospice." It is on Saturday 10th July from 12 midday to 5pm in the Bandstand on Herne Bay seafront.
There will be five different bands and duo's playing throughout the five hours for people to sit and listen to or maybe just pause and enjoy a little as they pass by along the front.
We will have a presenter to link between the bands and explain we are there to have some fun making music and raising funds for Demelza.

Festival of Wildlife at Sandwich & Pegwell Bay
A family event that attracted over 800 visitors last year this year with the annual dog show guarantees to be even more popular. There’s plenty to see and do fun shows, live music, family activities, guided walks and bird watching experts on hand with binoculars and telescopes
Kent County Show at Detling Show Ground
Once again Whitstable Park and Ride will be available for the opening weekend of Whitstable Oyster Festival on Saturday 24 July and Sunday 25 July between 10am and 9pm
The Whitstable Oyster Festival is all about Whitstable, old and new. It’s a whole week of festivity celebrating Whitstable’s fascinating history and unique heritage alongside its contemporary talent and enthusiasm for fun.
From Saturday July 24 to Friday 30 July, Whitstable invites you to an eclectic and entertaining mix of outdoor and indoor events including family, heritage, arts and food and drink. All are affordable, many are free and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The Whitstable Carnival is planning its 113th parade on Saturday August 7 2010.
This year Whitstable Carnival will start at the new time of 5pm.

Any joining instructions not received before the day can also be collected from the Carnival Office.
All entries must be in position by 3.30pm for judging which will start promptly at 3.45 pm.
The parade will start promptly at 5pm from Pier Avenue and will make its way through Tankerton and Whitstable and finish in Saddleton Road at around 8pm.
The procession passes Tower Parade at about 5.20, Harbour Street at 5.45 and Oxford Street at about 6pm.
These times are approximate so be sure to find a good viewpoint well ahead of time!

Saturday the 14thAugust. Whitstable’s famous Harbour Day. Everything from historic ships, diving demonstrations; remember diving began right here in Whitstable, an RNLI rescue, kayak displays. Whitstable had the first passenger carrying railway in the world, so we have the miniature ‘Crab & Winkle’ train running on the Harbour South Quay & multitude of stalls & stands with something for everyone. Stop don’t forget the kids, we’ve ‘Punch & Judy’ , as well as sandcastle building competitions and of course loads of great sea food.
