We were likely to listen into live Ralph Davey with the song and the guitar, Adrian Maddon with the battery, Jack and Derek Bright, to the low guitar in concert on the place of Vigeois, small village of the Limousin and passed an excellent evening of music in their company!
Thank you with them for this evening and thank you private individual with Ralph for the special resumption for “Honky Tonk Woman” and “Jumping Jack Flash” for Rolling Stones!!
On behalf of Parisian soon in the Limousin with a special wink for Oliver, the little boy of Jack and Hannah!

Heres to all at RSR, specially Bob and his lady wife.
Fingers crossed you will return one day with a permanent spot on the dial. Quality radio such as this deserves no less.
Here's hoping.................

Best wishes to all from an ex Radio City fan.

Thats very true what you say Bob.

Red Sands Radio does indeed manage to retain the "feel" of a genuine '60's pirate but at the same time have up to date touches that keep it in place with the needs and sounds of modern radio.

It is indeed the best of yesterday and today.

The Fort lost its WWII federing so was unable to take vessels alongside, this has subsequently been replaced (2011) by senior (Radio City) Shivering Sands Fort Engineer Tony Pine with his team who also constructed a jungle bridge between the Southern Gun Tower 1 & The Control Tower
Red Sands Radio sourced a lattice antenna for a 'pepper corn' cost of £25 paid for by projectredsand, parts, the erection & costs involved were paid for by Red Sands Radio
Whilst when bringing the station back from the old Offshore Radio Fort was novel the costs involved were phenomenal. Tender fees alone £250 each trip, fuel for our two generators, supplies
Since coming ashore we've been much more in touch with our core audience & unlike Radio Veronica & even Caroline these days still maintain an Offshore feel

Hey guys,
Im from a local hardcore band from the herne bay area, we have played shows all over canterbury and a few in thanet, last year we also played the "lounge in the farm" festival. We are trying to broaden our horizons and the bassist from the band saw an article about your radio station in a local newspaper. It stated that we should get in contact with you over possible interviews/ radio playtime.
We do have a 4 track demo up for free download on our myspace and facebook, however the production isnt top class. We are looking to record a 6 track EP in the winter, at a proper studio and release it on a number of local record labels, we are trying to get as much hype as possible.
You can check out one of the reviews from our shows here; http://www.rockkent.com/2011/05/the-self-titled/
and you can also see our demo review here; http://www.myspace.com/rockmatrix/blog/54301876

Melodic guitars, Heavy bass tones and aggressive vocals. We are a fresh taste on the hardcore scene and are trying to do everything we can to push forward, with the backing we already have and with shows becoming very frequent we would really like to see how far we can take this.
Cheers
