Red Sands Radio started broadcasting in 2007 from the Redsands Forts in the Thames Estuary. The Red Sands Radio station broadcasted to listeners in and around the North Kent Coastal towns of Whitstable, Herne Bay, Broadstairs and Margate for 10 days in July 2007 between 14th July to 23rd July 2007.
