Black Circles are a local power-trio band. Their frontman/guitarist Dan and bass player Mayumi both toured on the highway in previous bands before teaming up together in the heart of Kent. In 2010 they recruited new drummer Tris and successfully self-released their anthemic debut single ‘Little Girl’ picking up glowing reviews in Japanese and UK press.

Our Impression

We we’re able to listen to the bands new single ‘Final straw’ giving us a good idea of what the band has to offer. After listening to the track we can really say that the band bring a real, new, raw take on rock. Having comparisons to the likes of bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and Biffy Clyro it’s no wonder then that Black Circles are making such a good impression with critics – most of all their new single “Final Straw” which has really made itself known to them. Overall they’re certainly a band to watch in the near future as were sure they are set to go far starting with the promise of a busy Festival season for them heading into 2011.
