Magz & Jim

A founding producer of London’s Sony award winning arts station Resonance FM which she helped create and South London Radio Art as well as being a former director of the Community Media Association and Canterbury Student Radio she helped to push for community radio in the UK.

Today, she joined Bob on the deck with her colleague Jim Backhouse to talk about the 5 workshops they are holding across Kent.  Spearheaded by Beach Creative in Herne Bay,  ‘O-Ton’ Radio Art Workshop is on Saturday 3rd August at the Duchamp Festival.  Invoking the spirit of Dada, this workshop offers the opportunity to record and micro-broadcast your own ‘Radical Vox-Pops’, twisting the spoken voice of the public into strange and unfamiliar shapes.
