Saturday 6th August – Whitstable town Carnival. This year will be the 114th, our traditional parade gives everyone, young and old a chance to have some fun. It’s earlier this year, starting in Tankerton at 17.00 from Pier Avenue and making it’s way through the town to end up in Saddleton Road. More info at www.whitstablecarnival.co.uk

Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th August - The Lions Whitstable Regatta.  Two great days of events staged on the Tankerton Slopes, Fun fairs, Live music, charity sales

The Regatta Dog Show is on Sat 13th August from 11 to 3pm, a fun dog show with the following classes:

Puppy up to 1 year, Best Non Pedigree, Best Sausage catcher, Best Veteran over 7 years, Dog most like its owner, Best Pedigree, Fastest Sitter, Best 6 legs, Best all round dog in show. Further details available from all local pet shops and vets

Saturday 13th August Herne Bay Carnival Leading up to the parade the Carnival Association are really trying to involve the local business. Look out for flyers the Carnival Programme will be on sale from Saturday 23rd July at the bargain price of £1 – all the money made from this goes back into the local community

After the Carnival, local 70′s rock band Kellys Heros will be entertaining the crowds at the Kings Hall, tickets only £3

Saturday 2oth – Saturday 28th August – The Herne Bay Festival. Many items during this period near the clock tower, in fact 150 different things which you can find on the web site listed. Abseiling, Classic car  and bike displays, live bands, Herne Bays got talent!  and even a competition for the largest and smallest crabs caught!www.hernebayfestival.co.uk

Saturday 28th August – Memorial Park, Herne Bay, CT6 5QR ’Herne Bay in Bloom’ presents a ‘Giant Picnic’, bring your own picnic; Join in creating a piece of art, play a game of rounders

Expert gardening advise, local DJ spinning old vinyl, bring your singles

Community sing song, the ‘Invicta Concert Band’, Whitstable’s ‘Sambapelomar’ & the ‘Ian Petrie Band’ from 11qm – 2pm
